(3) 9th Annual Short Story Competition Deadline is 30th April 2012
Momaya Press’s Short Story Competition is open to writers of any nationality writing in English and offers the opportunity for winners to be published in the Momaya Annual Review 2012. Submit your story online at www.momayapress.com.
The Prizes:
In addition, 7 honourable mentions will be chosen for publication, as well as any stories which placed in our top 30 and fit our chosen theme for the year. All winners will be published in the Momaya Annual Review 2012, which will be available to purchase online in September 2012.
The Theme:
The 2012 theme is “Heat”. Think “Heart of Darkness”, “Wide Sargasso Sea”, “Firestarter”. Hot, steamy, passionate. Pyromaniacs. The Tropics. Mercury. This year’s theme allows for a wide variety of subject matter. We’re looking forward to seeing what you all come up with! While entries for the short story competition can be on any topic, the review gets its cohesion from stories, poems and artwork focusing on a central theme.
Happy reading and writing!
Big love,
Monisha Saldanha and Maya Cointreau
Directors,
Momaya Press
